well, we are not attending the NICHE conference after all, as we’re not even sure if we’re going to take the plunge or not. My son is now saying he doesn’t want me to homeschool, and if he is not willing to do it, then it’s not going to work well, as he really needs to be on board with it.  He’s going into middle school so I value his opinion and think he’s old enough to know what he wants.
we are thinking about buying some curriculum like history and teaching the kids a Christian world view and teaching them the things they are now taking OUT of the history teachings in public school, like the Holocaust and Civil War.  If no one learns from these things how do they not repeat themselves in 10, 20, 40 or 100 years??

I am still curious what options we have under the Iowa law for dual-enrollment, cause then Ryan wouldn’t have to give up Band and we’re hoping he wouldn’t have to give up ELP (the Talented and Gifted) program he’s in at Lone Tree school.  So that is still an option.

That’s where we are right now. I am thinking about just not thinking about it for a few months and let it ride.  We have till the end of the summer to enroll them either way, either in public or homeschool.
